For a long time in my youth I was walking in some sort of valley where fashion comes to die. If you ask me what is the difference in my style now from when I was 16 I could say, growing up, but to be honest, I have seen the light. The light being; every wardrobe needs good basic stuff to work! Before I would want everything sparkly and special, but nothing really worked together, it was like looking at a universe explosion. After investing in basics such as denim, tees and knits, my wardrobe works together. I can have a complete look and trust on my bags, shoes, jewelry and so on so give an outfit the little extra.
So…. To the coats, my favorite basic piece. Jackets and coats is my favorite thing in the world, probably because we live in cold cold Norway, I cant ever have enough. My Helmut Lang trench with shoulder pads is a well used classic, but lately, oversized coats have been on my mind all the time. The first thing I would do coming into a store was to scan the venue for big coats haha. In Copenhagen I found this Beautyfull thing at Topshop, and I am beyond pleased with the bargain. Perfectly oversized and gentleman inspired.
