I just got news that I am nominated for Blogger of the year, inspiration blog of the year, celeb blog of the year, fashion blog of the year AND best outfit blogger in Vixen Awards.

First of all, thank you. I am so happy just to be nominated, and have readers like you. I admit that I am really happy with ulrikkelund.com after I started focusing on photography, fashion and design, and last but not least, stopped with so much commercial stuff so you dont have to read through all the advertising blah blah that is to see everywhere these days. But this is crazy.. I desided that the most important thing here is sharing what inspires me and may tickle your creativity. My goal is to have fun and maybe inspire fashionistas to be more New York streestyle, personal and brave in their everyday fashion choices. So I May not be the top earning blogger anymore, but I feel so much better about this site now! Very glad to see that it work`s for you angels as well.

If you think I deserve it, I would be superhappy for your vote in whatever category you think I belong. Hahah you angels must have nominated like crazy? Love you so much. What`s better then readers getting involved? Ehhh.. Nothing!!

I am packed and ready for Copenhagen Fashion Week. I`ve been so busy in Bergen lately, but I am happy that Fashion weeks is finally back on. My favorite season of the year! Tomorrow I am going to Copenhagen, and I haven`t been there since last summer, so I am super excited! I`ve packed my new L`F unisex shoes, it`s an Italian brand that fits perfect for a girl who likes to keep it casual and comfy when traveling. Cant wait to roam the danish streets in these babies.

The pop up was the funniest thing, such a big success!

Cathrine and me had the best time, thank you so much for coming to shop and say hi. There is something so fun and cray cray about meeting readers of the blog, you are always so nice and good spirited. Love it! See more about the day at Minmote here and a movie at BT here.

We ended up going out after the pop up, and had the best time. Now we are off to dinner and the movies, accompanied by a major hang over. This weekend must has been a great one. Kisses!

happy weekend

Good morning angels. So my boyfriend went to Paris this weekend again, and I guess I am lucky to have a bf who is (if possible) more into fashion than I am. But.. Paris… Without me, two weekends in a row… Simply should not be possible. It made me miss Paris so much I started going through all my Archives looking for Paris trips I had done. Did you know I had over 90 travel days last year, because of the blog? Crazy! I owe you guys a lot haha!

My key to survival this weekend is that one of my best friends is flying in to stay with me today. I am not that kind off girl who has like 9 best friends and love everyone. Not in a bitchy kinda way, I just walk in my own world I guess. The few people who I find to have all the magic ingredients, cool, smart, relaxed AND funny, I almost never get to see, so this weekend is gonna be great. Time off with the people you love gives a lot inspiration.

Now I am off to a morning meeting and my workouts, and then the early weekend can begin. Have a great one!

Thanks to Freudian Kicks in Oslo for sending me this Petit bateau+Carven dress, it is such a classic from one of my favorite brands. First I was like; This piece is WAY to classic for me, but as soon as I put it on I had a change of heart, it just needed a little accessorizing and dressing down, that`s all. And I will take any chance I get to wear this Africa Collection jacket!

I am trying to keep up with my new years resolution to do more home stuff in the blog. And as you know, turquoise is on my mind. Like, really. I see no other colors! Turquoise is like drops of candy for your home. That is that. I could not be more happy with the paint job I did the other day. I think I am even going all turquoise in the living room. It`s just color. It`s just color. It`s just color- I keep mumbling. And yea, I want to order EVERYTHING in this collage I did for you guys!

shopping for a new season

I was doing some lunch Shopping at Galleriet the other day, thinking about boosting up my winter gear.

Remember, it is still months of cold and winter left! My shopping turned out to be a very beige/nude/brown affair, but in different materials. The knit beanie I just had to have, you know I am the biggest beanie collector ever!! It is from Accessorize, and so is the structural strap on bag. The sweater I found at H&M, and I just had to bring the fluff home! Pretty cute huh?

Turquoise paint job

Time to get real.

I had some news the other day that sort of ruined my 2013 spirits for a moment, when my spirits was sky high to begin with! Me and my +1 was going to rent out the appartment and leave Norway for a while, well, a LONG while, to go… everywhere. I live for travelling, it`s what gives meaning to me, where I feel content and happy. Being on the road. But we had some very bad news, and the trip was not in the cards right now. So now there is waiting until summer. Then it hit me, I will be stuck in Norway for many months to come!! What to do, how to deal!?

In a perfect world, these things would never happen, but it did. We wont be in Singapore in two weeks, but here, in rainy Bergen.. Hard to wrap my head around. So Whenever I get bad news like this, I need drastic change, and I need my fix fast. This time, more drastic then a stroke of dramatic purple lipstick will give me. That is when I realised a couple of things (shortcomings) about my home. A) I am so young B) I am lucky enough own my home C) I cant waste this on doing something classic! Ten minuted later I was in Jernia buying the most Turquoise paint I could find, think Anna Dello Russo Turquoise. And it`s going on my walls!! NOW! I love doing stuff like this, suprising myself! Might be a quick fix for my wounded adventures heart, but it will do for now! By the way, thank you so much for all the Brit Awards/shopbop votes, it means the world to me that you are all so supportive!

Now, It is time to make this home personal as f* for the next months to come,**

and nothing is better then a little DIY!
